When it comes to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), Stephanie McMahon is not just a sexy and smart lady married to one of the wrestlers, Triple H., she is considered one of the most powerful females in the world of wrestling and this is not just because she has been a former WWE women champion but she also holds a high profile job in the company.
Stephanie controls many activities of the WWE as the Vice President of Creative Writing in the company that is also headed by her father, Vince McMahon as the Chairman and her mother, Linda McMahon as the Chief Executive Officer. She comes from a family of wrestlers and her brother Shane is also an active participant in WWE. Her grandfather Vincent McMahon is a wrestling promoter while her great grandfather Jess McMahon was a boxing promoter.
Stephanie McMahon was born on the 24th of September 1976 in Hartford, Connecticut, USA. She got involved in wrestling from a young age when she was still in her teens. She however did not start immediately in the ring as she first modeled for the WWE merchandise. She also worked in the accounting department as well as screening phone calls when she was starting out in WWE. Stephanie, who was the General Manager for Smack Down between July 2002 and October 2003, has also taken part in the shows produced by WWE since 1999 apart from being a major backstage force taking care of business operations for the company.
Her role as the Vice President of Creative Writing, which she acquired on 2006, involves hiring scriptwriters as well as supervising the writing team. She also directs and oversees the production of Smack Down shows which are shown on many stations across the country together with WWE shows. The Stephanie Music, that is part of WWE Entertainment, is a music publishing company that was only named after her but does not necessarily belong to her, despite the fact that it’s still family owned.
Stephanie whose birth name is Stephanie Marie McMahon also has nicknames which include The Little Princess, Steffie Mac, The Billion Dollar Princess and The Vincess. Some of the shows she has appeared include the Howard Stern Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Weakest Link. She was also on season five finale of MTV’s Punk’d.
A graduate of Boston University from where she graduated with a degree in communications, Stephanie McMahon went to Greenwich High School. She has had several awards which include the PWI Woman of the Year Award in 2000, the WWF Women’s Championship and PWI Feud of the Year versus Eric Bischoff in 2002. Stephanie and her husband, Paul Levesque, have two children.
